The plan was to go to the Hokudai Test Field and collect samples of my CRISPR Tomato, and store in the the lab freezer for downstream analysis. The weather (snow & rain) defeated my effors to go from 天神山 to 北大 by bike. I’ll try again next week, probably withough the bike.

Fellow residents Julia Kiryanova and Pin Yi Tu are currently showing their work at the Tenjinyama Studio.
Also, this Saturday (Nov 15h) from 13:00 onwards there will be a Opening Party and Artist’s Talk. And maybe some Mushroom Music!

Chatted with Pin about Sunday Morning Japanese TV. We both admired the Cardboard/DIY aesthetic of info-graphics on Japanese TV, especially on NHK. This - and Pythagora Switch (ピタゴラスイッチ) explains a lot.
Transport & Bears
A bear was seen in Maruyama/Asahiyama. Maruyama-park and -zoo are now closed. The bear must have been just across the mountain when we were watching the Normal Hill National Ski Jumping Competition at Miyanomori Schanze on Sunday.
